This is a steel mold tube used to make 4-inch long lead billets or cylinders for extruding lead wire in the LED-1-H extruder. Two billet mold tubes come with the kit. You can use additional tubes to speed up the casting process, filling a tube while others cool to allow the lead billet to slide out. The billet mold tubes fit over a BMT-B base, which in turn is mounted to the workbench top, or to a piece of 2 x 4 wood clamped to the bench for easier storage. The BMT-1 is a single tube. Two tubes comes with the kit. You can add additional BMT-B bases if you want to pour more lead billets at one time for higher production.
