This package consists of a replacement drawing punch, alignment guide, and stripper plate for a specific jacket diameter and wall thickness. This is used to change the wall configuration in the same diameter as an existing JRD-2-H deep draw die. It is made as a matched set of parts, working together for the most concentric jacket walls (minimum run-out). The guide fits snugly into the mouth of the draw die, and ideally will be hand fitted with the return of an existing die. The only two additional items needed to draw a jacket are the JRD-2-HD die body, and the CHP-S2H 5/8-24 to 1 x 12 thread adapter for the press ram. Note that in the Hydro-Press, the clearance is great enough so that one standard height of adapter works with nearly all lengths of jacket draws. In the CSP-2 Mega Mite press, fixed ejection and leverage cycle makes it necessary to use different heights of ram adapters for some specific draw lengths, to allow room for loading and drawing with the most mechanical advantage possible.
