This retainer bushing, or hex bushing, screws into the
bottom of the FPH-1-S floating punch holder. It slips
over the body of a type -S punch, provided that the
punch diameter at the "working" end is .375 or less
inches. One of these bushings comes with each FPH-1-S
punch holder, but if your external (top) punch is larger
in diameter (caliber) than .375, the punch itself will
have a captive hex bushing on it.
The hex bushing is offered here as a replacement in
case of loss, not because you need more than one. The
same bushing is used with all external punches other than
those having their own captive bushing due to the large
diameter of the punch.
