This is the second die in the RBT-2-H rebated boattail set.
It is used to finish the rebated boattail base in a
consistent, accurate manner and to match the depth and
angle of the base to the external punch provided with it
for use in your point forming die.
The BT-2-H comes with a cavity-shape internal punch to form
the rebated base and make the angle uniform, and is used
with the same external punch as your core seating die or your
BT-1-H die. The external punch with the boattail cavity
which is provided with this die is NOT used with it. It is
used with your PF-1-H die. The reason it is matched to
this die is to make sure the angle and depth is the same,
so that the base is not changed or distorted by using a
slightly different shape or cavity depth in the next
step.
