CBL-128 is Corbin Bore Lap in a 128-ounce (gallon) can.
This is used by commercial barrel makers around the world,
to smooth the inside of freshly cut barrels. The flat micro-plates
of synthetic sapphire are only 30 microns in average diameter,
and are suspended in an oil-based solution to provide self-
lubrication as they are pushed through the barrel on a tight
lap. The flat plates tend to compact together to take up as
little room as they can under pressure, which aligns their
flat or non-cutting side with the barrel and points their edges
directly at any burrs, tool marks, or other projections that stick
out above the average barrel surface.
