TU-1/4 copper tubing is used for .257 and smaller caliber heavy wall hunting bullets. Use the Corbin CTJM-1 tubing jacket making kits to form .257 jackets, and JRD-1 draw dies to bring these down to .243 or .224 (or similar diameters). Using tubing for calibers smaller than .224 are not recommended, because the diameter of the punches required to fit inside, and the pressure that must be applied to them, are not practical. Instead, use flat strip with the JMK-1 or JMK-2 jacket maker kits, or reduce existing .224 jackets.
