This is a set of four dies which includes, instead of the standard point forming die, a ULD-TIP seating point former. The tip seating point former has two ejectors, one which is synchronized in length to the die cavity to create the proper socket to hold the metal iip insert, and another which has a cavity in the end to eject the metal tipped bullet without damaging the sharp point.

The purpose of using this design is to increase the BC as high as possible for a given weight and still maintain good stability. The four die set can also be used with a regular PF-1-S point forming die to make open tip bullets. The first three dies are the core swage, the rebated boattail preforming and the rebated boattail finishing die. Those three work with any point form die of the same caliber. So the RBTO-4ST is the same as a regular RBTO-4-S set with the point forming die (PF-1-S) changed out for a PF-1-ST tip seater die.

The size of tip insert to use depends on caliber, but for calibers suitable for -S dies (.458 and smaller) the best tip is the TIP-30. Larger calibers may use the TIP-50 although some of them may look and perform well with the smaller tip. The TIP-45 is made with a different angle, for shorter ogive bullets. Most of these are 2 to 4 caliber radius, dependidng on what blends well with the tip angle. One point to bear in mind is that you cannot simply stick any metal tip on any ogive or caliber of bullet at random. The junction between the ogive curve and the tip angle should blend into smooth flow, not a sudden change of direction. That only happens when the caliber, ogive curve, and tip angle are all designed correctly for each other. Then you get the magic of stability, lowest possible nose drag, and ability to weather the change between transonic and supersonic velocities and stay aligned on trajectory.
