This is a jacket drawing punch, which is for reducing diameter of a jacket without changing the wall thickness. To adjust wall thickness, use the JRD-2-H die and select the JRD-2-HK or JRD-2-HP instead.

Please indicate the starting jacket diameter, the ending size you want, and if you know the wall thickness please enter it also. If you don't know the wall thickness, use the note to give us some idea of what jacket you will be using. A copper tubing jacket for instance usually has .035 walls and a commercial jacket of smaller sizes may have .022 walls. So the difference in punch diameter has to allow the punch to go into the thick wall jacket and not flop around too much inside a thinner one! If you have the standard Corbin jackets just enter the catalog number, and we will know the wall thickness.

You can specify either the jacket diameter or the calibers, but please indicate which you mean. If you say .452 final size but really mean a jacket for a .452 bullet, bear in mind that the jackets are always smaller than the caliber so they can fit the die and expand properly. We would calculate perhaps a .450 jacket size if we knew you wanted to make a .452 bullet. If you really want an actual diameter of .452, say "diameter specified" instead of caliber. Otherwise we assume any number that matches a standard caliber really means you want to make that caliber, and we'll undersize the jacket so it works for that.

Please note:
The picture is a general illustration, not necessarily the exact appearance of the punch you order. We make every size of draw punch known to man and then some. So we can't show every single one. Some are fat, some are thin, and some even have a bit of a taper or other special shape depending on the exact purpose of the draw and the material to be used. But in general this punch is a straight rod in a 1 x 12 threaded base, for the CSP-2 or CHP-1 press ram.
