This hex bushing screws into the bottom of the FPH-1-H
floating punch holder, to retain the top or external
punch. It is a larger version of the one used in the
CSP-1 Corbin Swage Press for the FPH-1-S floating.
The hex bushing or retainer bushing slips around the
body of the punch, and comes up against the larger
diameter punch head. The head prevents the punch from
dropping through the hole in the bushing. Screwing
the threaded end of the bushing into the punch holder body
secures the punch and yet allows it to shift slightly to
compensate for any possible alignment issues. The bushing
should be secured finger tight for most operations, not
torqued down with a wrench.
It is offered here as a replacement in case of loss, as
one comes with each FPH-1-H punch holder.
