This is the ram for the CSP-2 Mega Mite press. It needs to be fitted to the press bearings, through which it slides. It is offered because some people wish to build their own presses, or have obtained an early Corbin press and wish to rebuild it. Generally speaking, this is a part most people will not require. The original generally outlasts the owner! The ram has a hard chromed finish, so any machine work generally requires grinding a very thin layer, about a thousandth of an inch, so that the cutting edges of drills and mill cutters do not impace the hard surface. This is the same diameter of ram used in the CHP-1 Hydro-Press, but the specific holes, slots and other dimensions (except for the threaded hole for the dies) are not the same. This ram does not interchange with the one in the Hydro-Press. You may want to order the retraction spring, CSP-2SP, with the ram. This spring is the same as the one used on the Hydro-Press.
