This is the retainer clip which snaps around the ram of the S-press (CSP-1) to hold the handle upright in the "ram down" storage or resting position. It comes with the press, installed, and is offered as a replacement or repair item for the S-press. A tapped hole on the toggle block provides the center mounting position. Older Series II presses, or any CSP-1 model which did not originally have the retainer clip feature installed, has no mounting hole on the toggle. To add the feature to older presses, Corbin makes a retro-fit kit which requires no machine work or modifications to the press. This is a CSP-1CR (for clip, retrofit) model number. It can be used on any of the vertical CSP-1 press versions. A bracket fits between the handle and the toggle bar to mount the bracket. If you wish to put the handle retainer on an earlier press, order the retrofit version. For replacement on a more current press, order the standard version. Note that the clip can be mounted either on a left or right hand positioned handle, by turning the spring clip portion around and mounting it on either side of the bracket as shown in the dual photo below.
