This is the drive pressure gauge used on the CHP-1 Hydro-Press. It has a panel mount flange and a rear fitting for the hydraulic line. It can be user replaced easily if the user is careful NOT to twist the connection on the hydraulic line without securely holding the fitting on the gauge with a wrench, to prevent the seal between the fitting and the case of the gauge from being torn loose. All force should be between the screw fitting on the end of the hydraulic line, and the connector on the gauge, with none of the force allowed to be applied to the case of the gauge itself. With that caveat, the gauge is easily replaced if broken. Corbin currently uses a high quality dash-pot damped (vibration stabilized) gauge, replacing the former style of glycerine-filled gauge. This provides more clear view of the pointer and scale numbers by eliminating the need for the expansion bubble in the fluid filling.
