BRD-1-H bullet reducing die is used to draw down a
bullet to a smaller diameter, within a range of 0.006 or
less inches (greater reductions cause distortion of the
bullet). For instance, drawing a .358 bullet to .355, or
making a .318 from a .323 are common tasks for the BRD-1-H.
The die screws into the 1.5 x 12 threaded top of a Corbin
press, and the punch screws into the 1 x 12 threaded ram.
Bullets are pushed through the die and out the top. In a
hand press, the long stroke is normally used.
The flat base or BG base punch is included at the price shown.
To use the same die with boattail or rebated boattail bullets,
you can order an additional RBT punch. If you only want to
reduce boattail or rebated boattail bullets, find the BRD-1-HB
listing and order that die instead. It comes with the proper
base punch.
