This is a standard set of two knurling rollers and the knurling wheel for a HCT-2 knurling tool. Since the basic frame of all the HCT- cannelure and grooving tools are the same as the knurling tool, you can convert any of them to a knurling tool by replacing the smooth, hard-chromed rollers and cannelure or grooving wheel with these knurled parts. Whether or not it is cost effective compared to buying one of the complete tools depends on how often you expect to be changing the wheels. It does take some time to remove the axles and replace the wheel and rollers. Repeated removal and replacement will wear the retaining components and holes, so that frequent changes (say, every week or two) would result in shorter tool life. The tools are not designed or intended to be frequently changed from one kind to another. However, if you only need a different kind of knurl or cannelure once or twice a year, it may be worth the trouble to change parts. Otherwise, owning each kind of tool lets you instantly put them to use without making modifications.
