PT-50-H priming tool works with Corbin CSP-2,
and CHP-1 presses. It deprimes on the up
stroke, with the primer guide removed. Spent primers
drop through a port in the side
of the ram extension. The tool comes with a 50 BMG shell
holder.
To prime cases, simply unscrew the shell
holder and insert the primer guide through the bottom
to reduce the hole size in the shell holder. This hardened
tool steel tube guides the primers precisely into the
base of the cartridge case on the down stroke.
To adjust the depth of seating, set the length of the
punch by adjusting the position of the punch head. It screws
up and down on the end of the punch, and is secured by
a lock nut.
To prime, raise the ram just slightly, to drop the punch and make
room for a primer. Drop a primer into the hole in the
shell holder (with the primer guide in place, the primer
just fits). Slide in a cartridge case, and then lower
the ram to push the primer into the cartridge case. Raise the ram
slightly, again, and slide out the primed case. Inspect
the primer depth, and make any adjustments to the punch
head to set the depth.
