JBG-30 Base Guard Disks attach to the bottom of a
swaged lead bullet by the use of a BG type base punch.
The punch allows a small lead stem to extrude through the
hole in the disk and form a rivet head on the opposite side.
This secures the disk and yet allows it to turn with the
rifling, even if the lead bullet should slip, thus
assuring a gas-tight seal. The .30 caliber disk fits diameters
of bullets from .308 to .314 diameter. Packaged 1000 to
a bag.
