J-45-680 bullet jackets are used for long, mediumto heavy weight full jacket and soft point styles, in .451 to .458 diameter bullets. They can be used for 250-350grain soft point rifle bullets in .458 diameter for the.45-70 and similar calibers, as well as for pistol jacketsfor the .454 Casull, .45 ACP, and .45 Long Colt. Packaged 250 per bag.
The .68-in long jacket and the .54-in long jacket will be replaced by a .50-inch long jacket in the near future. It is expected that the .45 caliber offerings for handgun jackets will be the J-45-500 and the J-45-840, covering both ends of the length range without unnecessary duplication. The .840 length can be trimmed with an ET-2-S jacket trim die to make any shorter length. The most popular length for .45 ACP and similar .45's in handgun calibers is 1/2 inch long.
